You Should Play CrossCode | Action JRPG Isekai

65 hours later... I haven't fallen this hard for a game in a long time. That game is called CrossCode. A game modeled after the puzzle/aRPG combat genre you know and love from games like Zelda A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana/Evermore, Terranigma, Bastion.. even more recent entries like Hyperlight Drifter in a way. Traversing incredibly well crafted levels you take on a monster of a journey with a level of pacing that has never made it feel like it was dragging on and am excited to log on each night. The setting and theme is similar to animes like Log Horizon or Sword Art Online.. or other games like dot Hack.. in where you are playing a character, playing an MMORPG. This allows for some fancy layered story telling and is a theme that when done well adds a lot of depth.. and I find myself really impressed with it when I am normally the type to roll my eyes. Combat is fluid, controls of fluid, puzzles are satisfying and the whole game just has this level of charm to it that I honestly don't know if it's tickling some sort of nostalgic spot or if the game really is that good.
