Main Event Entertainment is a former competitor of Dave & Buster's, but apparently as of 2022, they ended up being bought by D&B and are now under the same umbrella. So, it goes without saying that when you walk into one of these locations, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect from them. This is only our second visit to a Main Event since they don't really operate in the Northeast -- our only other experience has been with the one in Newark, Delaware. Imagine my complete lack of surprise when I walked into this one here in Avon and it looked like a literal cut-and-paste job. Same layout, mostly the same games, most of the games in the same locations. Oh, they've got a Pump It Up machine? Yep, it's around the corner from the entrance, just make that U-turn. A massive ropes course? Just look up. Bowling alley all along the back, VR games, racers, a whole wall of redemption games and basketball games. It's a serious sense of deja vu, no doubt.
