Ivan must go on a grand quest to bring the magical bird home. Ivan meets the great Grey Wolf who, after promising to help, becomes his faithful and incredibly fast friend. The clever Wolf helps Ivan complete three very tricky tasks. Even though the Wolf warned him, Ivan got distracted by the Firebird's shiny golden cage and later a sparkly golden bridal, getting caught by two different rulers. To escape, Ivan had to find a famous golden maned horse and the wonderful Princess Elena the Beautiful. The super-smart Wolf uses his magic to transform, first looking exactly like the Princess, and then becoming the golden maned horse to cleverly trick the grumpy rulers and get the real Firebird back! But the adventure isn't over! Ivan's two older, jealous brothers steal all his prizes while he sleeps. Luckily, the loyal Grey Wolf returns just in time! He lets out a mighty roar to scare the mean brothers away and rescues Ivan. Ivan returns a hero, marries Princess Elena, and their story shows us that with a little courage, a lot of honesty, and a truly loyal friend by your side, any challenge can become a wonderful adventure.
