Welcome back folks! In this episode we are back in Mexico and visit the beautiful San Cristobal De Las Casas and a small indigenous town called Chamula, which is 11 kilometres away from San Cristobal 🇲🇽 At the beginning of this trip I got pretty ill, so after flying into Tuxtla I spent the first two days in bed with Fabiola nursing me. But once I started feeling a little better I wanted to get out as soon as possible to explore these magical mountain towns ⛰️ After an hour and a half drive in a collectivo (small bus) from Tuxtla we arrived in San Cristobal De Las Casas (San Cris for short). We spent a couple of days venturing around the town. Vibrant colours were everywhere and it seems to be a magnet for the hippy/spiritual community 🕉️ On the second day we took a collectivo up to Chamula, a town that is populated with 99.6% indigenous people. As well as exploring the small town there was another reason why we wanted to visit here. The church: San Juan Chamula. This church is famous for it's own personal reasons, involving lots of shamans chanting, people praying and chicken sacrifices. Yes, you read that last bit right. It's far too long for me to explain here but if you head to 22 mins in the video I go into depth about what went on while we were in there. Unfortunately you can't film or take photos in there so you really do have to go and see it for yourself if you want to visually experience it 👀 If you'd like to see any more of our Mexican adventures then please head to to this playlist: • 🇲🇽 Mexican Adventures...
