This is round 14 of the 2003 THQ 250cc AMA Supercross Championship and round 15 of the 2002/2003 THQ World Supercross GP from Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. Returning stars such as 250cc rookie Chad Reed, Travis Pastrana, Stephane Roncada, Mike LaRocco, Ernesto Fonseca, Damon Huffman, Ezra Lusk, Heath Voss, Tim Ferry, Nick Wey, Sebastien Tortelli, Larry Ward, David Vuillemin, and 2-time defending champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2003 THQ 250cc AMA Supercross Championship and the 2002/2003 THQ World Supercross GP. This series features a season-long battle between Ricky Carmichael and 250cc Yamaha rookie Chad Reed. This race features the first ever battle between Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael. Freestyle rider Kenny "The Cowboy" Bartram makes an appearance on a #690 KTM with Travis Pastrana as his "mechanic," but his heat race ends sourly with his bike breaking in half because he was told by Pastrana "that he never put a spark plug in before." Watch 250cc heat #2 as Team Suzuki's Sean Hamblin (who decided to stay on the 250cc for the rest of Supercross) has a nasty crash, and Ricky Carmichael cases a quad in the rhythm section and falls over the THQ tuffblocks, but comes back to win the heat race over Heath Voss.
