Following Richard Hickox's critically-acclaimed recording of the original 1913 version of VW's A London Symphony with the LSO in 2000, Ursula Vaughan Williams gave permission for a live performance. The event that took place at the Barbican in November 2003 in the presence of the 92 year old was the music's first performance in its original version since 1915; this is that performance.
