After a very cold winter I realized the importance of having a reliable and effective heating source for my adobe hut. Now that the rains are over I can proceed making adobe bricks which I will use to build the walls of the fireplace that will be adjoined to the hut. I spent a lot of time considering how I would accomplish this. In the first video I chipped out a hole for the fireplace and dug a shallow depression on the outside of the wall of the hut to lay the foundation. In this video I create a strong foundation that will hopefully resist soaking much water from the rains and I also build half of the walls of the chimney with adobe bricks. So far so good!
