This inshore fishing trip had a little bit of EVERYTHING! 🎣🔥 I took my sister, brother-in-law, and my son Oliver out for an inshore fishing adventure—and since they’re just getting started with saltwater fishing, the excitement was unreal once the rods started bending. We found a solid school of mangrove snapper around docks, boxed some keeper fish, and even added a few porkfish to the mix. Along the way things got wild—lines tangled in dock ropes, an iguana climbed aboard, and we even caught a pelican, safely bringing it on the boat for a clean release. After the best cast net throw of my life, the livewell was stacked with threadfin herring, setting us up for one of the best surprises of the trip. Right at sunset, we hooked into a beautiful gag grouper on a seawall that absolutely made the day. We even tried our luck on some rolling tarpon on the way back—but they won this round.
