How to Prototype EF Johnson VFO Ham Radio Tube Transmitter Frequency control

A project years in the making. I always wanted to make the Ranger/Valiant VFO a stand alone unit with its own supporting power supply. This is the initial test. Cosmetics are not complete. Calibration has not been performed. I will shoot a follow up video after it is integrated into my station. Currently, I am running a VFO-122 on my Viking II. Soon, this unit will be in line. As you can see, the construction is a bit tricky. Alignment of the Vernier drive and new control switches is critical. If you decide to build one and need info, simply e-mail me, schematic is in .jpg format. I had lots of fun configuring this gadget. Hopefully it performs as expected. Thank you for supporting my channel. I am doing my best trying to balance everything.
