He was truly amazing.” Six years later, in an incredible bit of serendipity, Tiffany saw his smile again… In our viral video about Keanu Reeves “Then my younger sister had leukemia. Today she is cured I donated 70% of my gains from the movie Matrix to hospitals that treat leukemia.” After seeing this video, Tiffany sent BrightVibes a message that touched our hearts deeply… “I love that you chose this picture to represent such a positive story” “I visit his grave every single day and miss him more than I could ever describe. Thank you for making this grieving mother smile.” “I just knew that it was him reaching out to me. I just feel like he was sending me a sign that things are ok, everything’s going to be fine and it made me really happy.” Whilst BrightVibes founder Michiel was looking for suitable images for the Keanu video, Michiel was inexplicably drawn to this particular image “That photo specifically, he’s touching his head in that photo, I took that photo the day he actually lost all of his hair. And I said “Lucas, what do you think about your hair now being all gone?” And he just reached up and gave me the most beautiful smile and I took that photo. And it really… It just captured his essence. That beautiful smile. And he was happy, no matter what. He really enjoyed his life. He had a beautiful life. Unfortunately, the difficulties of the leukaemia.. Is something that is beyond heartbreaking… But… He was loved every second of his life and what is something that is really beautiful. I’m so lucky that I got to be his mum and, I’m still his mum, but sometimes I’m so sad… I miss him terribly, but other times [I think] I got to be his mum, and how special that I was chosen, out of all the people in the world.. I got to be his mum, so I’m very, very happy about that. I try to look at the good in the world as opposed to the negative. There is so much negative, and bad things happen to everyone. But there’s also so much good in the world… And good things happen to everyone, too.. You take the good and you take the bad and you just do the best that you can… in this life because ultimately this life is temporary, no one lives forever… If you live to be one or 101, you only have so much time..
