Newhaven Level Crossing

Two Class 313s in Southern livery cross the main road crossing at Newhaven Town station both heading to Southease. The other direction is Newhaven Harbour. The crossing has 4 large barriers that each only have a skirt at the pedestrian section of the barrier. Railings on the pavement and in the middle are meant to stop pedestrians crossing when closed, although there is a large gap at the end of each barrier which a small motorbike could fit through. The alarm here is extremely loud and there are tilted lights in the middle of the traffic island, not to mention the fact that there are no pedestrian lights at all. One of the left-hand lights is on an extremely strange pole and sticks out above the footway. The tilted light in the first clip has been my profile picture from the start of this channel. The range rover thinks that the road is in two lanes and suddenly merges into one when there is no indication at all of that. The station here serves the town although the centre of Newhaven is across the River Ouse and swing bridge. Cars weirdly decided to turn around when the crossing closed the second time. Bloody cars.
