🔥 Did a Newly Called Apostle Just Clarify the Timing of the Second Coming? 🔥 Welcome back to Rise Zion! I’m Seth, and what we’re about to discuss might completely reshape how you read one of the most quoted verses in all of scripture. This week, headlines across the Church celebrated the calling and ordination of Clark G. Gilbert to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His background? Impressive. His leadership? Proven. His devotion to the Savior? Undeniable. 🙏 But buried within coverage of his ministry was a single line—one sentence—that carries enormous doctrinal weight. “He knows when He will return.” Read that again. Not speculation. Not metaphor. Not casual phrasing. A direct assertion that Jesus Christ knows the timing of His Second Coming. And that challenges a long-standing assumption many Christians—and even some Latter-day Saints—have repeated for generations. ⏳ “No Man Knoweth the Day nor the Hour”… Right? Many rely on Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32 to argue that no one—including Christ Himself—knows the timing of His return. But what if that reading flattens the Greek nuance? The word translated “knoweth” in Mark 13:32 is οἶδεν (oiden)—a word rooted in perception, recognition, and sometimes even making something known. What if the verse isn’t declaring ignorance… but divine order? What if the Father reserves the right to announce the day—while the Son, in perfect unity, honors that order? That interpretation harmonizes perfectly with Restoration scripture. 📖 A Glorified, Omniscient Christ Doctrine & Covenants 93 declares that Christ received: A fulness of the Father’s glory All power in heaven and on earth Perfect unity with the Father That is not the description of a partially informed Redeemer. It is the description of an exalted, omniscient Son of God. ✨ Even Joseph Smith corrected the misunderstanding that no future prophet would ever know the timing, citing Amos 3:7—that the Lord reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets. We see patterns of divine announcement throughout scripture: The Father introducing the Son in 3 Nephi 11 The Sacred Grove The Mount of Transfiguration The pattern is clear: The Father declares. The Son reigns. The faithful are prepared. 🚨 Why This Matters Now During the ministry of Russell M. Nelson, references to the Second Coming have increased dramatically. The language is urgent. The preparation is deliberate. And under Dallin H. Oaks, we’ve seen powerful emphasis on: The Parable of the Ten Virgins Covenant loyalty Spiritual humility Entering into the presence of the Bridegroom The trajectory is unmistakable. The Church is preparing. The prophets are warning. The atmosphere feels immediate. So when Elder Gilbert matter-of-factly declares that the Savior knows when He will return, it adds real doctrinal gravity to that urgency. He is not reacting to history. He is presiding over it. 🌅 The Rise of Zion If Christ knows the appointed day… If heaven is not guessing about the future… If prophetic language is intensifying… Then perhaps the Second Coming is not some abstract, unknowable horizon—but a fixed moment in the mind of an all-knowing Savior. And maybe—just maybe—it is closer than we think. Tonight we examine: The Greek text The Restoration perspective The prophetic pattern And why this changes everything This isn’t about date-setting. It’s about taking prophetic warnings seriously. Because the wise virgins weren’t guessing. They were prepared. 🕯️ 🙏 If this message resonates, help us spread it. 👍 Like 💬 Comment your thoughts 🔔 Subscribe Our goal is 60,000 subscribers in three months to push these messages into the algorithm and build Zion together. 🎁 Channel Members are automatically entered into this month’s raffle for a $100 prepaid gift card!
