Two Alarm Building Fire on the 100 Block of Harrison Avenue in the Village of Endicott, New York On May 9th, 2023, at approximately 12:12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the Endicott Fire Department was dispatched to 107 Harrison Avenue (later updated to 105 Harrison Avenue) in the Village of Endicott for a reported building fire. Upon arrival, Endicott Fire Chief Griswold reported heavy smoke showing from the structure. Upon further inspection of the structure, heavy fire conditions were discovered in the rear and a subsequent second alarm assignment was requested, summoning several more departments from the area. Quint 25 and Squad 25 were the first apparatus to arrive on scene. With Quint 25 going directly into the scene, while Squad 25 laid in from a hydrant located roughly 400'+ back from the incident, at the southeast corner of Harrison Avenue and Broad Street to supply Quint 25. 105 Harrison Avenue is an occupied three story, wood frame, multi-family structure with exposures on either side of it. While officially unconfirmed, the fire seems to have started on the back of the residence, and spread upwards and inwards from there. On-duty Endicott Fire Department personnel were assisted by off-duty Endicott Fire Department personnel, the Vestal Fire Department, the West Corners Fire Department, the Endwell Fire Department, the Union Center Fire Department, the Johnson City Fire Department, the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, the Endicott Police Department, and the Broome County Office of Emergency Services. Additionally, several recruits from the Binghamton Fire Academy can be seen roughly halfway through the video. They were brought from the academy to observe and to render assistance at the scene. Standby crews were provided by the West Endicott Fire Department and the Prospect Terrace Fire Department.
