Has way more bearings and feels even more smooth on the retrieve. It also has a new specialized spool specifically made for distance casting light lures with braided line. The Gekkabijin AIR TW does cast a wide variety of lures pretty far for a BFS reel. The level of control added to that distance is remarkable. Usually have to sacrifice one for the other. Although Daiwa says NOT to use any line besides PE (braid), I intend on testing the Gekkabijin AIR TW with monofilament line. Given how the braking profile is, I feel that the spool can cast mono just fine. I will use special attention not to use too much line or apply a lot of pressure.
