In this episode of our Delhi Neighbourhood Eats series, we head to the vibrant lanes of Malviya Nagar with our host Abhishek, table tennis coach by day and a local through and through. We kick things off with the legendary samosa from Kapoor Snacks Corner. It was flaky on the outside and packed with a comforting mix of potato and green peas. This hot samosa is best enjoyed with their mithi chutney. Next, we stop by Chill-e-Pepper for their piping hot momos. Generously stuffed with lightly seasoned chicken and paneer mixture, these momo were just about solid flavours. Then it was time for a full-on Mumbai snack attack at Bombay Boy. From keema pav to vada pav, anda ghotala to dabeli, this place served street-style Mumbai flavours with heart. The owner tells us how his cloud kitchen dream turned into a full-blown eatery bringing Bombay to Delhi. Next stop was Perilicious and it lived up to the buzz with their smash burgers. Juicy, well-spiced smashed patties and charred to perfection, tucked between soft, in-house buns and layered with all the right things. One bite, and we knew why the locals rave about it. For that essential street food crunch, we hit Shree Ram Chaat & Golgappa Point. Their chilled yogurt filled bharwan golgappe are loaded and explosive. We took a sweet detour at Moti Sweets. Their jalebis disappear within hours, but the generous owner had saved some for us. Crisp, syrup-soaked spirals that melted in the mouth. We also sampled their creamy kulfi and old-school besan ki burfi. And how else to wrap it up but with a paan from Sangam Paan. It was a perfect end to this deliciously diverse food trail.
