Triang 3 SUB SR Electric units

This is a video diary showing cleaning and repairs to my dad's R156 electric units. Along with much of his stock they were flooded out when his house was flooded Xmas eve. This shows the various stages of recovery for these old faithfuls. There is a photo section then video section showing running. Also comparison with the new Hornby 2 BIL some 57 years younger than the Triang models. In the 70s and 80s dad and I trawled the Jumble Sales (no boot sales then) and model shops looking for motor coaches and trailers in various conditions. These were then stripped down and repaired, then painted to look like SR 1st Gen 3 SUB units. Motor bogies had the knurled wheels removed and replaced with spare Hornby DMU wheels that were turned down by hand to make finer. The video explains more.
