He has been passionate about underground electronic music for over 25 years. It was in 1992 that he bought his first vinyl in trendy techno music stores in Montreal. Since 1994, he’s also one of the most respected psychedelic-trance party organizers in Canada. He founded eXpérience productions in 1994 and Tech Safari Productions in 2002. Following his passion for this new music and new energy and his desire to share it, he produced the first psytrance, goa-trance, and techno parties in Trois-Rivières (Quebec) with eXpérience productions. In 1997, he organized Psy-Trance parties in the metropolis of Montreal where he organized major events with artists like TIP Bansi, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Sid Shanti, and DJ Nivoc. In 2005, he was noticed by DJ Edoardo of the famous Italian label Neurobiotic Records and joined artists such as Zen Mechanics, Earthling, Joti Sidhu, Antidote, Silicon Sound, Dimitri Nakov, and many others. Dj Rikam remains a very active event organizer with TechSafari Productions, founder of Eclipse Festival in 2003. In 2013, he made a dream come true and launched his own label: TechSafari Records. This quickly allowed him to make connections beyond borders with artists from around the world. Érik draws inspiration from his trips and performances he’s given in many events and festivals in various countries as Brazil, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, United States, Mexico, Morrocco, Thailand, India [Goa], Panama, Nepal, and Canada. Rikam is a versatile, open-minded DJ. He can mix night and day, as his powerful sets offer a mixture of intelligent psychedelic sounds and original grooves with progressive rhythms and a hypnotic atmosphere ranging from 138 to 146 BPMs. Érik is constantly looking for new releases and unreleased music and always had a remarkable, avant-garde music selection. He is well-known for his energetic set and such a versatile Dj who can adapt his style for any kind of dancefloors. DJ Rikam has released recently his second (V/A) compilation called ''Seeds Of Imagination'' on TechSafari records included high standards original and remixes from label’s artists and guests.
