The real reason we came to Sabah was for the orangutans. Orangutans are native to Malaysia and Indonesia, so you either need to go to the islands of Borneo or Sumatra to see them in the wild. In this video, we visit the famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to get up close with this oddly human-like creatures and learn more about their rehabilitation program for orangutans. We also visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, right across the street, to see the world's smallest bear. With both their habitats dwindling each year, it's and incredible privilege to see these creatures in their natural habitats and gain an appreciation for the challenges they both face.
