Moral Hazard and Environmental Regulation: A Simple Model of Incentive

In this video, we consider a principal-agent type of problem. The regulator (EPA) is the principal, and the polluter (Firm) is the agent. The emission (e) depends upon the equipment to control pollution (a) and effort (f). Here, the polluter wants to give minimum effort.
