Universal Studios UK Construction Update, January 2026 🚧 | Busy at the Bedford Site

Big changes are happening at the Universal Studios UK construction site in Kempston Hardwick, Bedfordshire, and in this video I take the drone up for a full aerial look at the latest activity on site. There’s been a noticeable shift since the last update — the Wazinator 1000 (concrete crusher) has now disappeared, along with one of the 20-ton diggers. But in their place, we’ve spotted a new 30-ton digger and a dumper truck, hinting that the project may be entering a new phase. We can also see topsoil being scraped away, although it’s not yet clear whether this is for investigation works or the early stages of stripping and stockpiling ahead of major construction. Either way, it’s a very promising sign. The core zone is buzzing with activity, and the temporary haul road is really starting to take shape, suggesting that enabling works are progressing well and momentum is building for the construction of Universal Studios UK in Bedford.
