XFL 2001 Week 2, Game 2 San Francisco Demons at Orlando Rage Saturday, February 10th, 2001 This is an interesting video that was apparently uploaded relatively recently. This is a recording of the satellite feed of this game, which was secondary to the other game being broadcast nationally during the same time (Chicago Enforcers at Los Angeles Xtreme). However, part of this game did go on the national broadcast when the generator that powered the production truck for the main game infamously ran out of gas, disrupting the broadcast and forcing them to switch to this game. Because it's a satellite feed, some of the footage was not meant to be broadcast on television. It's interesting to watch them create video highlight packages of the game to be shown on the national broadcast for score updates throughout the course of the evening. You can also hear the announcers talking to what is presumably the production crew over their headsets. This is the only source of this game that I could find. The audio and video appear to be badly degraded. However, the complete game is present, the audio is already decent (aside from the degradation), and there aren't commercials in the satellite feed. I'm very appreciative of the original uploader (Preserving the Game) to get this footage online while it still exists. There was minimal editing to be done here, because the audio was already using both channels, there were no commercials, and this is the only existing source of this game that I know about. However I did edit out a couple of parts where there was some channel-changing going on during the game; I added a 1-second black screen before the start of the video, and I added a fade-to-black and audio fade at the end of the video. I also slightly improved the audio levels. There is better quality footage of this game during the parts when it took over the national broadcast in the first quarter, and I considered integrating it here for a better viewing experience. However, I thought that the sudden change back and forth with the video quality would be quite jarring, and for the sake of consistency decided to keep the video quality the same throughout the video.
