GM Matthew Sadler and WIM Natasha Regan follow the Top Chess Engine Championships highlighting interesting engine games from various competitions. In this video Matthew and Natasha are following the Season 18 Top-of-the-Top bonus tournament featuring the 3 top neural nets - Leela Zero, AllieStein and Stoofvlees - and Stockfish! Most of the NNs favour solid replies to 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 like 4...Be7 (Queen's Gambit Declined) or 4...Bb4 (the Ragozin). AllieStein favours the Semi-Slav and we use its games to put together a Black Semi-Slav repertoire starting with the Moscow variation (5...h6) against the super-sharp 5.Bg5 based around its game with Stoofvlees in the TCEC Top-of-the-Top competition. At the same time, we show some stunning ideas for the White side from none other but AlphaZero!
