SIR R44M/ME-2 arrives and departs Grasmere Station

Here is a four-car R44M consist (438-417-393-458), operating on the Staten Island Railway's Rush Hour Local service between St. George and Great Kills, arriving and departing Grasmere station, with Old Town as its next stop. During Rush Hours, Express trains race from St. George to Great Kills nonstop, and then run local from there to Tottenville. In order to shorten and simplify service patterns, many local trains only run from St. George to Great Kills during the Rush Hours, while express-to-local trains take customers the rest of the way. The 50-year old R44s on Staten Island (~57 cars) will be replaced by the incoming Kawasaki R211S series of cars, numbered from 100-174 (75 cars).
