On May 10, 2024, Keep Memory Alive honored Blake Shelton at the 27th annual Power of Love® gala on Friday, May 10 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. An esteemed lineup of entertainers came together to celebrate the country music sensation including Gwen Stefani, Jay Allen, Colbie Caillat, Kristin Chenoweth, Andy Grammer, Mickey Guyton, Gary LeVox, Cassadee Pope and Jay Pharaoh. Other notable guests in attendance included Lisa Vanderpump, Meredith Marks, and Maria Shriver. Jay Allen, who was coached by Shelton while a contestant on NBC's The Voice, delivered a moving rendition of his viral hit song “Blank Stares” inspired by his mother’s battle with Alzheimer's disease. The night culminated in Shelton taking the stage to perform “Sangria,” “Ol’ Red” and leading the crowd in a rousing rendition of “Sweet Caroline” from Neil Diamond, the 2020 Power of Love honoree. Gwen Stefani then joined him for the closing duet “Nobody But You.” Chefs Wolfgang Puck and Evan Funke prepared the gourmet dinner, paired with wines from Southern Glazer’s Wine, Spirits and Beer of Nevada, followed by a dazzling dessert display from the MGM Grand pastry team. The Power of Love gala is a vital platform to generate funds to enable Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which opened in 2009, provides expert diagnosis and treatment for individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body, frontotemporal and other dementias; Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, multiple system atrophy and other movement disorders; and multiple sclerosis. With locations in Cleveland, Ohio; Weston, Florida, and headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, the center offers a continuum of care with no-cost opportunities for the community to participate in education and research, including disease prevention studies and clinical trials of promising new medications. An integrated entity, Keep Memory Alive, raises funds exclusively in support of the Nevada location. clevelandclinic.org/Nevada 702.483.6000
