What paint is as gold as gold leaf? Let's test Goldest Gold and others

I love adding gold to my watercolour paintings of wildlife and animals. It adds awe and celebration to them, in my opinion. But using gold leaf can be a little tricky until you get used to it, so when I heard about Goldest Gold from Culture Hustle, wondered if this was an alternative. And what was the point of only testing one pant? I found Schmincke Aqua Bronze, gold watercolour from Kuretake Gansai, Liquid Metal from Dryad, Winsor and Newton gold ink plus gold acrylic from Daler Rowney. First I applied both imitation and real 24k gold leaf to black watercolour paper so we had something decent to compare the paints to. Then I tried out all the paints I could find in my studio. The results might surprise you. Just a quick word about Culture Hustle and Stuart Semple. I love their products. They produce the worlds pinkest pink paint as a retort to Anish Kapoor (he has exclusive use of a particular black which he won't share with the world). But in Goldest Gold they have a dig at Daniel Smith about quinacridone gold. And I think they get it wrong. When quin gold went out of production, DS bought the remaining stock and used it in their gorgeous paint.
