Neighbors react to deadly shooting on Indy's northeast side

A male is dead and four people were detained following a shooting on Indianapolis' northeast side early Saturday morning. According to IMPD, around 1 a.m. March 7, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court, near North Keystone Avenue and 38th Street. When officers arrived, they said they found a man — later identified as 28-year-old Codey Antoine Garrard— shot. Police said Garrard was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, however, he later died. Police said at least four "persons of interest" were detained on the scene regarding this incident.
