In 2006, Bonga Shabangu’s life was turned upside down when his family lost everything and had to relocate from Mpumalanga to Soweto to stay with his grandparents. At this point, the family had to start from scratch and rebuild their lives, and that’s where Bonga’s mother started running a soup kitchen. Seven years later, Bonga has refined his mother’s recipe and founded SB Brands, a food processing and distributing business in the Midvaal. SB Brands manufactures high quality and nutritious soya mince that taste like real meat mince out of soya beans. At his business factory, he takes us through the process of manufacturing his soya mince and the different flavours they have.
