🎉 40 YEARS OF SHIREBROOK TOWN | FANS vs LEGENDS at Langwith Road ⚽ A very special day at Langwith Road as Shirebrook Town celebrated 40 incredible years with a one-off clash between a Shirebrook Town Fans XI and a Shirebrook Town Legends XI in front of a brilliant local crowd! Before kick-off, I spoke to fans manager Paul about the club’s direction and his hopes for the day. I also caught up with former manager Grogger, who looked back fondly at the promotion-winning side he led over two decades ago and the journey of the club since those days. On the pitch, the Legends showed their class early on with a controversial opener that appeared to cross the line—and the ref gave it! The iconic Lee Widdowson made it 2-0 at half time before the Legends turned on the style, adding more goals after the break. The fans got their deserved moment though, thanks to Declan Brewin, who bagged one for the supporters’ side to make it 7-1 on the day. Despite the scoreline, it was a fantastic celebration of the club, the community, and its history.
