Third day in Budapest was filled with art, history and good food. The morning begun with walking around the sun till i found a cool breakfast spot, where i tried flodni for the first time. Art was right around the corner, with admiring the architecture that the city is filled with, passing from the Central Market Hall, to Balna, the sight on the Parliament, up to the Buda Castle. In between, admiring museums, galleries and street art. Budapest is one of those cities in which not a short vacation like mine will be enough to see all its secrets. there’s so much more besides the buda castle, there’s art, architecture, there’s cuisine culture, there’s part of its history and politics that it’s unknown to most people that visit this country, and i’ll definitely need to come back here to see all that i’ve missed during these few days i spent alone. As you can see, i was blessed by the weather in the beautiful first day of august. the sun shining and the blue sky called for the perfect combination for a cruise over margaret island. Before heading in that direction, we moved down the river, happily to admire its sides, confront the architecture and how true it is that budapest feels like it’s really divided in two: pest, flat but rich in diverse architectural stiles, and buda, high up on a mountain, with its charm and green all around. I could clearly see both shores, passing the bridges, and finally landing on the green heart in the middle of the water. ⋆ timestamps: 00:00 intro 31st july 00:19 chapter 1: the breakfast ritual 00:55 drinking matcha, reading a book and trying flodni for the first time 01:45 chapter 2: a morning of exploration.
