In this video series I take look at old 1980s CB radio equipment with the view to modifying them to operate on the Ham radio bands. The video explores where these old two way radios came from, how they work in detail and what can be done to modify them including working test examples made up from readily available parts. I also take a look at how modern technology can interact with vintage electronic radio equipment. This is part 1 of 3 and covers the receiver.
