Grizzlies are occasionally spotted on Vancouver Island, but one nature photographer has captured an even rarer sight — a mother bear and her cubs. Catherine Babault says she first spotted a sow and two cubs in July after hearing about them being in a certain area. The Grizzly Bear Foundation says it's primarily young male grizzlies that are known to swim and island hop, but it looks like a female bear made the trek this time. It's believed the cubs were born on the island. As Travis Prasad reports, an increased grizzly population could be good news for the island's eco-system.
