After spending two months in Seoul, I was beginning to wonder if the entire country was as crowded and fast-paced as its capital. So I packed my bags and set out for Jindo Island (진도), South Korea's second largest island (after Jeju of course). As opposed to Jeju, it's not a touristy island, mostly because it's so difficult to get to: I had to take a long-distance train, 4 buses, and a metro to get there. After such a long journey, I felt confident that I'd get to see a different side of Korea.
