Empress Fam 🌸 In this week’s vlog, I’m getting real about what it’s actually like living in Colorado as a Black woman or individual. I know a lot of people Google this before moving or visiting Denver. I’m sharing my honest perspective on the job market, social scene, education, and finding service providers (yes, including hair care) in a majority-white state. I’m also taking you to two events: a vision board party where I introduced my brand Brakethru to local women, and a “country club” themed creative photoshoot where I connected with other creatives in Denver. This year, I’m shifting to MORE in-person events. Last year was all online marketing, but for a community-centered brand, I need those face-to-face connections. Also in this vlog: building a giant Polaroid frame for my February activation (full build coming next week!), new glasses, and why finding “your people” here means getting intentional about where you show up.
