Evaluating impact of Tobacco 21 to determine potential to reduce use, lower cancer risk

COLUMBUS, Ohip (WKRC) - Recently, many places in the U.S. have become “Tobacco 21” by raising the minimum age for selling tobacco from 18 to 21. A project at OSUCCC – James will provide one of the very first evaluations of Tobacco 21's impact on tobacco use by examining undergraduates at The Ohio State University. Understanding young people's responses to Tobacco 21 is critical for preventing tobacco initiation. Further, as tobacco is the leading preventable cause of cancer, this project is critical for cancer prevention. ----- The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G.
