Hey I re-ripped and remastered the original version of Ape Escape's soundtrack. This is now the highest quality version of the game's music available. I promise! (download link is below!) After that, I mastered each track, tuning their EQ, dynamics, and stereo imaging. Additionally, I recorded some footage from the game, emulated at 4K. I matched the stage to the music, and I hope it gives some extra goodness into your listening experience. And to clarify, this is the original 1999 PlayStation version of the music, and is distinct from the Originape Sountrack (2011) version. That version sounds great, but the instrumentation, mixing, and arrangement of the tracks are all different. And I think that version really hurts some of my favorite tracks like Primordial Ooze and the Time Station. Credits to Soichi Terada for composing this game's iconic Drum and Bass soundtrack. His Originape version is available on Spotify. The new instrumentation sounds really incredible, especially on tracks like Specter' Castle. And it includes a couple tracks that I don't have, like Ski Kidz Racing and Specter Boxing. The other versions on YouTube are made from low-quality MP3s from a 2006 rip of the soundtrack, so I really wanted to give the music another life. I hope this becomes the definitive way to experience this game's music, so please credit this video if you use these versions in any of your work.
