Mass protests against Israel’s expansion of the Gaza war has erupted in Tel Aviv as families of Israeli hostages still held by Hamas call for a total shutdown of the country. Members of the hostages’ families including Matan Zangauker’s mother Einav and Nimrod Cohen’s brother Yotam have labelled the Israeli government’s decision to approve a planned takeover of Gaza City as a ‘death sentence’ for the remaining captives.
