So, I watched The Electric State a few days ago and yeah...it was just completely soulless. I read Simon Stalenhag's book a while ago, and I'd also used a lot of his paintings for art references. So, when I heard they were making an adaptation on The Electric State, I'm not gonna lie, I was intrigued. But by the time we approached the release of the movie, I kinda new it was not gonna work out. The aesthetics, the pacing, the dialogue and even the philosophies were all completely watered down to fit the pacing of a Marvel movie.
