✨ What We Do to Stay on Track Every Day ✨ (And I hope some of these tips help you in your own health journey! 💚) In this video, I shared some of the core things we do that help us stay consistent, healthy, and free around food—without spending hours in the kitchen every day. Here’s the breakdown: 1️⃣ Food Prep for a Week of Freedom When we grocery shop, we don’t just put food away—we prep it right away. That’s what makes 5–10 minute meals possible, so we’re not cooking from scratch every single day. Here’s what we keep in our: Fridge: – Ready-to-go meals – Homemade sauces – Soy chia yogurt – Overnight oats – Muffins – Hummus – Cut-up veggies and fruits – Steamed veggies – Steamed potatoes & sweet potatoes – Pre-cooked rice – Pre-cooked beans Freezer: – Enchiladas – Lasagna – Spaghetti sauce – Anything we batch cook for grab-and-reheat meals in smaller portions Pantry: – Air-fried chickpeas – Dry goods we can quickly throw into bowls - This setup makes fast meals easy and helps us avoid daily cooking fatigue. ⸻ 2️⃣ Plate Balance (for Weight Loss or Maintenance) We build each meal based on what our bodies need—whether we’re in weight-loss mode or maintaining. 🥗 The more variety and color (🌈) on your plate, the better. Your plate should nourish you and align with your health goals. That balance matters. ⸻ 3️⃣ Daily Movement Even if we don’t go to the gym, we move every single day. That could be a walk, jump rope, biking—anything to keep the body moving and energized. Movement is medicine. ⸻ 4️⃣ Strength Training We go to the gym and lift heavy (for us) 2–3 times per week. That means doing: – 4 to 6 reps – For 3 sets – With a weight that challenges us without injury We also do cardio for heart health and to warm up. 5️⃣ Weighing In Twice a Day (to Understand, Not Obsess) I weigh myself morning and night—not to chase a number, but to get to know my body. 🧂 What happens when I eat more sodium? 💧Did I drink enough water? 🍽️ How does food affect me throughout the day? Your weight will naturally fluctuate (I can be 3–4 lbs heavier by evening). This helped me shift my mindset and focus on nutrition, not numbers 6️⃣ Before & After Photos We still take progress photos—even in maintenance mode. Why? Because now we’re not focused on weight loss—we’re focused on reshaping, strengthening, and building muscle. Photos help us see how far we’ve come, beyond the scale. 🌱 I really hope some of these pointers help you in your own health journey.
