Exactly one year ago we started to build the "COPO Truck" which is what I envisioned would be the perfect factory factory sport truck if GM had the COPO program active where you could pick and choose any drivetrain parts you wanted to build your own custom truck. My 2000 Silverado uses the AWD system from a Yukon Denali, wheels from a 2015 Silverado, the transmission from a 2500HD, the LSA Supercharger from a ZL1 Camaro, the flex-fuel system from a 2002 Tahoe, Electric Fans from a 2009 Silverado, and a whole lot of custom work by myself to make it all work together. All told, the LSA 4.8 makes 530 horsepower at the wheels, 550 lb.ft. of torque, and is a total blast to drive. What's next for the COPO truck? Well, there are a lot of options, but we'll improve the cooling of the transmission and the supercharger, spin the blower a bit faster, and make a lot more horsepower!
