U.S. Election Violence and Oikophobia

The segment of the NTD Television broadcast from October 28, 2020 that contained snippets from an hour-long interview with me about U.S. election violence and oikophobia. Three brief clarifications: 1. My final statement re. a third party, which is narrated by the journalist, was made in a different context: What I said was that the rise of more major parties, hypothetically, would help stymie political polarization and create an environment where compromise and coalition-building are necessary. 2. The way my lengthy remarks on gun-buying were edited made it sound, perhaps, as if I were equating gun-buying with the extremism of oikophobic violence, which in fact I was not. I strongly support the second amendment. 3. The most important part of the interview, not aired, was the point that when politics is viewed as a moral battle, rather than as the battle of practical diverging interests that it more typically is, violence becomes far likelier.
