What a Friend We Have in Jesus

“What a Friend We Have in Jesus” was my dad’s favorite song. Back in the mid-1960s, he led a group of Holy Land tourists in singing this song outside what was believed to be the empty tomb of Jesus. That moving experience was always a special memory for him. Dad was an excellent mandolin and guitar player, and during his retirement years, I often accompanied him on this song at churches where he was speaking.
