A trip to Sheffield can't be completed without a Supertram ride, so here you go, a backwards facing full journey of the PURPLE ROUTE from Cathedral to Herdings Park via Sheffield Station and Gleadless Townend. My opinion: 8/10. I just have got to love the scenery. After Sheffield Station climbing up towards Gleadless Townend you can get an amazing view of Sheffield City Centre, plus the Peak District hills and mountains in the background. My only negative comment for this tram line is that it only runs every hour - come on Sheffield, this is a city tramway system, not a rural bus serving villages... (at least the other lines in the system such as the BLUE and YELLOW routes run far more frequently at every 10-12 mins). Tram stops: 1. Cathedral 00:05 2. Castle Square 01:25 3.
