Welcome to The Ghosts of Victorian England: The Workhouse, The Factory and The Prison Today, we delve into three haunted locations, rooted in the darkest corners of Victorian life; from the oppressive Gressenhall workhouse, where the poor suffered in silence, to the brutal Armely Mills wool factory, haunted by the cries of child labourers (amongst others) and the grim wings of Dorchester Prison, where the souls of the condemned still linger. This video explores the ghosts and paranormal history of these infamous institutions. The Victorian era was a time of great change and progress, but have you ever wondered what truly lurks beneath the staunch Victorian façade? Are these institutions, hallmarks of the Victorian system, still harbouring the restless spirits of the era, trapped by cruelty, injustice, and tragedy? Are the lost souls responsible for poltergeist activity and even disembodied legs? Stay tuned for the Post Script, from me, Nicola, where we will delve into some stories and thoughts about the locations in the video (Get the snacks and drinks in, my friends!) *Please be aware that I will cover infant mortality in two articles here* Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history and personal tragedy respectfully and honestly, without the need for sensationalising the past. As always, I hope you enjoy these ghost stories about the Victorian Ghosts of England. Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. They mean so much to me.
