Anti-Romeo Squad set up to prevent eve-teasing questions the methods of the government , when two cops were alleged to harass an innocent man and his niece in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. The man and his niece were detained while passing through Atariya Chowk during Anti-Romeo Drive by two cops on Monday. Cops took them to the police station and kept them for 5 hours. Later on they called their family and demanded a bribe of Rs. 5000 to release them. Relatives gave the money to the cops and filmed them accepting the bribe. The footage was later on passed to a journalist. After the initial investigation both the cops were suspended.
