A couple of days of sunshine promised, a rare treat for summer in the UK! Seemed like a good opportunity to take a trip away to visit a vintage railway, and at the same time break out some vintage clothes! Late 1940's/early 50's style with a full circle swing dress, seamed stockings, towering platforms in the style of Carmen Miranda, and a matching hat. Got to ride some nice steam trains and even get my hands on the controls of one! What a lovely day out! Some of the surfaces were pretty challenging in my six inch heels, and coming down the steep, narrow winding staircase on the ancient bus in them was downright scary! So many people commented on the heels, and the outfit in general, which was really rewarding.
