This is where downtown Vancouver is headed over the next decade. In the past 10 months most of the condo development slated for downtown Vancouver has now been converted to market rental buildings. I’m all for building more rental stock in the city but it’s coming at a cost of building more strata buildings that people can own. Of course most of these new condos were going to be luxury units starting at $1600 a sq foot and up but these are the units that people in older less expensive units can move up to and sell their lower priced condos. With limited supply of newer condos to move up to you are going to see the current inventory of condos continue to increase. ** I apologize for the poor sound quality on this video.
