As you can see, it very much resembles the #CraftyVaporizer by #Storz&Bickel. At the same time, the Alternate only costs a fraction of the price of the #Crafty. So these two are direct competitors. Let’s see if the Alternate performs as good as the Crafty and what has been compromised. The Vivant Alternate is a small, discreet and powerful vaporizer that utilizes a hybrid convection/conduction heating system. On the bottom of the device there is a small LCD display and 3 buttons so it allows precise temperature control – you can adjust the temp in 1-degree increments, which is always a cool feature. Moreover, there’s a switch that allows you to adjust the airflow, too. So you can adjust how dense and potent your #vapor can be, which is quite a unique feature for a portable vaporizer. Overall vapor quality and potency is very good, not as good as the Crafty but still above average. The size of the chamber is rather on the smaller side – it holds roughly .15 grams of ground herb, so it is pretty #herb conserving since the vapor is strong and one full chamber is enough for a solo session. So the Vivant Alternate is very efficient in general. What I love about this vape is it’s swappable battery feature. The Vivant Alternate utilizes standard 18650 batteries so you can buy a couple of spare ones for cheap and swap them on the go. So this is a very cool feature, especially considering the fact that the battery life is rather below average – you get around 30-40 minutes of continuous vaping per charge. What could be a bit better is the taste, which is great for a couple of first hits but then it becomes cooked. It’s not a big deal, but the taste could last a bit longer. In the set you also get a lot of cool accessories, including a grinder combined with a loading tool, a #concentratepad, a cleaning brush and a ton of spare parts, such as screens and o-rings. Overall, the Vivant Alternate is a great vape, especially at this price point. Dense and potent vapor, great efficiency and swappable battery are what I love about this one. Go get yours!
