G’Day Model Builders! This was my very first YouTube video — kept here so viewers can see where the channel started in Mid 2024! I’ll show you how it’s done! ———————————— Original Description… As my first venture into Youtube I went with an out of the box build of the HobbyBoss 1/72 "Easy Assembly Authentic Kit" of the Hurricane Mk. II Trop in the 1942, 6 Sqn Royal Air Force desert paint scheme used during the WWII North Africa Campaign. The model is cheap, nicely moulded with crisp and fine details. Everything fits together very nicely and quickly as there are only about 23 parts plus a complete spare 2 part canopy and 2 spare cannon barrels. The build is very smooth, that way the focus become the fun part of the painting and finishing. For me to focus on lighting, filming and editing and get back into a modelling groove I chose to finish the whole build by brush painting but this will also serve the new model builder well. This way the less experienced among us will see how bad it looks as a work in progress versus the part that you usually see as the end result. Hopefully this is encouraging to beginners and experience modellers alike and I will do it regularly when the mood hits me. Apologies to the Hurricane afficionados out there. This was a simple build of an attractive subject and paint scheme. I acknowledge the errors that I made in the build while I editing but I'm going to revisit this subject in the future and pull out all stops.
