Globus pharyngeus is actually a technical term for the lump in the throat. There is nothing dramatic about it. So a lump in the throat is a very common symptom in the throat, where it is most probably caused by emotional stress and acidity. So if that is controlled, then it shouldn’t be an issue at all. But only thing is that we have to make sure we have to rule out other causes more significant structural problems, any physical obstruction in the food pipe, any significant acid reflux has to be ruled out before branding the person as having Globus pharyngeus. So if that is done, then no significant other causes are found, then definitely treated as Globus pharyngeus.
