Day 3 of our Gaspésie adventure brought us deeper into the mountains and across some of the most iconic trails in the region. We started the day leaving Auberge Le Caribou and followed the TQ5 toward Gaspé before turning west at the Three Forks and heading into the mountains on the 597 toward Murdochville. This stretch of trail was absolutely mint! We stopped at Chic-Chac in Murdochville for lunch. Unfortunately we arrived just after the kitchen had closed, but after working a little magic we managed to secure some massive poutines before getting back on the sleds. Pro tip: definitely double check the serving hours if you plan to stop there! After lunch we continued west on the newly reopened trail, connecting to the 595 and finishing the day at Relais La Cache, a fantastic place to stay if you’re riding through the area.
